Juniperus horizontalis ‘Limeglow’ (Creeping Juniper) is a dwarf evergreen shrub forming a splendid vase-shaped mound of brilliant chartreuse, feathery, scale-like foliage. It keeps its lovely color during the growing season, even in hot summers. In winter, the foliage turns shades of copper-bronze, orange, and purple. Slow-growing, this Creeping Juniper makes a wonderful specimen plant, and groundcover and looks terrific when cascading over walls. A marvelous addition for rocky soils and hot, dry garden spots.

  • Winner of the prestigious Award of Garden Merit of the Royal Horticultural Society for its noteworthy qualities
  • Grows up to 6-12 in. tall (15-30 cm) and 1-3 ft. wide (30-90 cm).
  • A full sun lover, this plant is easily grown in average, medium moisture, well-drained soils. Tolerates a wide range of soils including dry soils or poor soils but prefers sandy soils. Drought tolerant once established. Intolerant of wet soils.
  • Perfect as a specimen plant or ground cover. Great for rock gardens, foundation plantings, banks, and slopes for erosion control.
  • Low maintenance, no pruning required.
  • Propagate by semi-hardwood cuttings
  • Native to Alaska, Canada and the northern U.S.
