Noted for its attractive foliage and brightly colored flowers, Loropetalum chinense Jazz Hands® Dwarf Pink (Chinese Fringe Flower) is a small, bushy evergreen shrub with cool purple leaves adorned with a cranberry undercurrent. In spring, it produces abundant clusters of slightly fragrant, hot pink, spidery flowers, each with narrow, twisted, inch-long petals. Heat tolerant, this small evergreen shrub is a subtly beautiful addition to small gardens and containers.

  • Grows up to 1-3 ft. tall (30-90 cm) and 3 ft. wide (90 cm).
  • A full sun to part shade lover, this plant is easily grown in humus-rich, fertile, moist, well-drained soils. Best flower production and leaf color in full sun, although this plant appreciates some afternoon shade. Shelter from cold winds and provide winter protection.
  • Virtually pest and disease free.
  • Extremely versatile, the Chinese Fringe Flower may be used as a specimen plant or in small groups. Perfect for foundation plantings, beds and borders, hedges and screens, or containers.
  • Little pruning is required except for the removal of unsightly shoots and deadheading, unless some shaping is required.
  • Propagate by semi-ripe cuttings in summer with bottom heat
  • Native to China, Southeast Asia, and Japan
