Noted for its long flowering season, award-winning Geranium (Cinereum Group) ‘Ballerina’ (Cranesbill) is a compact herbaceous perennial that produces a profusion of slightly cupped, pale pink flowers adorned with deep purple veins and a dark blotch at the base of each petal. The dainty blossoms rise atop a low-growing mound of rounded, deeply lobed, gray-green leaves. This Cranesbill is a perfect addition to rock gardens, borders, or containers.

  • Recipient of the prestigious Award of Garden Merit of the Royal Horticultural Society
  • Blooming from late spring to fall, this hardy geranium is reliable, easy to grow, and provides long-lasting color.
  • Grows up to 6 in. tall (15 cm) and spreads up to 12-18 in. (30-45 cm).
  • Performs best in full sun or part shade in well-drained soils. This Geranium is not fussy about soils, provided they are well-drained. Sensitive to summer heat and humidity.
  • Attractive to butterflies, but deer and rabbit resistant!
  • A great addition to beds and borders. Perfect for rock gardens, Mediterranean gardens, or containers. Effective ground cover or edging plant.
  • Watch for vine weevil, sawflies, powdery mildew, or downy mildew
  • Shear plants by half in midsummer if flowering stops to encourage bushy growth and repeat blooming in fall.
  • Propagate by seed or basal cuttings
