Noted for its long flowering season, Geranium (Cinereum Group) ‘Laurence Flatman’ (Cranesbill) is a compact herbaceous perennial which produces a profusion of upward-facing, cup-shaped, pale lavender-pink flowers, adorned with veins and a center that are dark red-purple, and white blotches on all 5 petals. The dainty blossoms feature a distinctive darker ‘arrow’ on each petal. They rise atop a neat, low-growing mound of delicately fluted, gray-green leaves. This Cranesbill is a perfect addition to rock gardens, borders, or containers.

  • Blooming on and off from late spring to fall, this hardy geranium is reliable, easy to grow, and provides long-lasting color.
  • Grows up to 4-6 in. tall (10-15 cm) and spreads up to 10-12 in. (25-30 cm).
  • Performs best in full sun or part shade, in well-drained soils. This Geranium is not fussy about soils provided they are well-drained. Sensitive to summer heat and humidity.
  • Attractive to butterflies, but deer and rabbit resistant!
  • A great addition to beds and borders. Perfect for rock gardens, Mediterranean gardens, or containers. Effective ground cover or edging plant.
  • Watch for vine weevil, sawflies, powdery mildew or downy mildew
  • Remove flowered stems and old leaves to encourage the production of fresh leaves and flowers.
  • Propagate by basal cuttings. Easily divided in early spring.
