Award-winning Geranium subcaulescens 'Giuseppii' (Cranesbill) is mat-forming, evergreen perennial with brilliant magenta, saucer-shaped flowers adorned with black centers, 1 in. across (2.5 cm). Borne on long flowering stems, the blossoms rise atop a low-growing mound of sage green, small, rounded, 5-7 lobed, dissected leaves. This Cranesbill is a perfect addition to rock gardens, borders or containers.

- Blooming from late spring to early summer, this hardy geranium is reliable, easy to grow and provides long-lasting color.
- Grows up to 6-8 in. tall (15-20 cm) and spreads up to 10-12 in. (25-30 cm).
- Performs best in full sun or part shade, in well-drained soils. This Geranium is not fussy about soils provided they are well-drained. Sensitive to summer heat and humidity.
- Attractive to butterflies, but deer and rabbit resistant!
- Great addition to beds and borders. Perfect for rock gardens, underplanting of roses and shrubs or containers. Effective ground cover.
- Watch for vine weevil, sawflies, slugs and snails, powdery mildew or downy mildew
- Remove flowered stems and old leaves to encourage the production of fresh leaves and flowers.
- Propagate by division in early spring, late summer or fall; propagate by root cuttings in autumn or semi-ripe basal stem cuttings in late spring.
