Tickseed 'Red Elf', 'Red Elf' Tickseed, Li'l Bang Series
Reliable and eye-catching, Coreopsis ‘Red Elf’ is a dwarf perennial forming a compact mound of mid-green foliage that remains fresh-looking all season. Blooming profusely from early summer through fall, it is covered with attractive deep burgundy red blossoms adorned with a bright golden center. Slightly creamy-white frosted at the petal tips, the flowers do not fade in the sun or heat and rise elegantly atop the fresh-looking foliage. Perfect to create a stunning floral display in the garden. Requiring no deadheading, this Tickseed has great disease resistance. Its compact size makes it perfect for beds, borders, containers, and small gardens.
Coreopsis are a favorite of many gardeners thanks to the bright colors of their flowers and their ability to put up with most garden soils. There are over 100 species available and countless hybrids. Most of them are low maintenance, drought tolerant, and enjoy long blooming seasons. Workhorse perennials in the sunny borders, they make excellent cut flowers.
