Noted for its beautifully variegated and very fragrant foliage, Lavandula x allardii ‘Meerlo’ (Lavender) is a small evergreen subshrub boasting narrow, pale gray-green leaves adorned with creamy-yellow, slightly serrated edges. In mid to late summer, sweetly fragrant pale blue flowers are borne on long, wiry stems above the foliage. Very drought, humidity, and heat tolerant, this lavender is perfect for the water-wise garden. It can be used as a specimen plant, in a rock garden, mixed border, containers or as a low hedge. Thanks to its high oil content, the foliage is useful in potpourris. Evergreen in warm winter climates.

  • Typically grows 24-36 in. tall (60-90 cm) and 24-30 in. wide (60-75 cm).
  • Thrives in full sun to part shade in well-drained soils. Requires little irrigation once established.
  • Deer resistant, it attracts bees and butterflies.
  • Cut back by 1/3 after flowering to keep the plant compact.
