Peony 'Martha Bulloch', 'Martha Bulloch' Peony, Chinese Peony 'Martha Bulloch', Common Garden Peony 'Martha Bulloch', Pink Peonies
Fragrant and floriferous, Peony ‘Martha Bulloch’ (Paeonia lactiflora) is a real masterpiece with its enormous, rose-shaped, double flowers, up to 9-12 in. across (22-30 cm). The magnificent blooms are packed with rose-pink petals, delicately shading to silvery shell pink at their edges. Borne on sturdy, long stems that hold them well above the foliage, they stand upright in strong winds but usually require staking. Splendid in a vase, ‘Martha Bulloch’ is also a very fine landscape Peony with high decorative value.
Peonies are a classic ingredient of the perennial border and have been in cultivation for over 2000 years. Beloved for their abundant blooms, the beauty of their exquisite flowers, their delightful fragrance, and their bold foliage changing shades over the seasons, peony flowers add a dazzling splash of color in the late spring and early summer garden.
