Rosa Apricot Candy™ (Hybrid Tea Rose)

Rose Apricot Candy™, Rosa 'Meibidull' PP21284, Hybrid Tea Roses, Shrub Roses

Rosa Apricot Candy™ is a lovely Hybrid Tea rose with medium-large, 3.5 in. across (9 cm), double flowers of a classic form, in shades of apricot and coral, with elegantly ruffled petals. They are packed with 25 petals and exude a mild, spice fragrance. Blooming in flushes from spring to fall, they contrast nicely with the foliage of glossy, soft green leaves. Bushy, upright, and handsomely shaped, this beautiful shrub deserves a spot in the mixed border or in containers. A good performer across a wide range of conditions with good disease resistance and heat tolerance.

  • Grows up to 5-6 ft. tall (150-180 cm) with a 2-3 ft. spread (60-90 cm).
  • Best grown in full sun, in rich, fertile with adequate moisture, well-drained soils.
  • An excellent choice for beds and borders or containers. Great cut flowers.
  • Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
  • Bred by Alain Meilland (1940-....) (France, 2006).
