Rosa Ebb Tide (Floribunda Rose)

Rose Ebb Tide, Rosa 'WEKsmopur', Rosa Purple Eden, Floribunda Roses, Shrub Roses

Noted for its novel color and wonderful scent, Rosa Ebb Tide is prized for its small clusters of large, 4 in. across, very double, old-fashioned, deep smoky plum purple blossoms, packed with 35 petals. Rich with strong clove and citrus fragrance, they bloom in flushes from late spring until frost. The intriguing flowers contrast beautifully with the healthy foliage of semi-glossy, dark green leaves. This captivating shrub rose features a compact, rounded, bushy habit that makes it ideal for use in the landscape or the flower garden. Very good disease resistance. Plant it where you can immerse yourself in the delightful fragrance and admire the beauty of its blooms.

  • Grows up to 4-5 ft. tall (120-150 cm) and 3-4 ft. wide (90-120 cm).
  • Best grown in full sun in rich, fertile with adequate moisture, well-drained soils.
  • An excellent choice for beds and borders or containers. Plant in groups or as a specimen or focal point. Excellent cut flowers.
  • Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
  • Bred by Tom Carruth (United States, 2001).
