Rich with a strong damask scent, Rosa ‘Mister Lincoln’ is a striking hybrid tea rose with very large, double, velvet wine-red flowers, up to 5 in. across (12 cm), having as many as 26-40 petals. Blooming in early summer and throughout the season, the sumptuous blooms stand out against the leathery, dark green foliage and make an impressive display. Arising on sturdy 18-22 in. stems (45-52 cm), the flowers are ideal for cutting. Tall, vigorous, and ever-blooming, it is an exceptional performer, tolerates adverse weather conditions, including heat, and is regarded by many to be the best red rose ever bred.

  • Winner of the 1965 All-America Rose Selections
  • Grows up to 3-6 ft. tall (90-180 cm) and spreads up to 3 ft. (90 cm).
  • Perfect for beds and borders or the cutting garden. Plant it where you will be able to enjoy its perfume daily: near a doorway, along a path, near your patio or deck. Excellent cut flowers.
  • Best grown in full sun, in rich, fertile, moist, well-drained soils.
  • Bred by Swim & Weeks (United States, 1964).
