Yarrow 'Little Moonshine', Achillea millefolium 'Acbz0002'
Perfect for small spaces, Achillea millefolium Little Moonshine (Yarrow) is a compact, clump-forming perennial boasting brilliant clusters of tiny, canary yellow flowers from early summer to early fall. Borne on branching stems, the blossoms contrast nicely with the gray-green fern-like foliage. Attractive to bees and butterflies, easy care, drought and heat tolerant, deer and rabbit resistant, this dwarf yarrow is perfect for sunny borders, outstanding in containers, and excellent for cutting.
Achillea, commonly known as Yarrow, belongs to the Asteraceae family, which also includes asters, chrysanthemums, and sunflowers. The genus was named after Achilles, the hero of the Trojan Wars in Greek mythology, who used the plant to stop the bleeding and heal the wounds of his soldiers. Achillea millefolium (Common Yarrow) is native to most of Europe and temperate parts of Western Asia. Brightening the garden throughout the summer, this perennial plant is versatile, easy to propagate, and available in a wide range of sizes and colors.
