Agastache ‘Raspberry Summer’ (Hummingbird Mint) is a bushy, short-lived herbaceous perennial boasting dense, dark raspberry pink flower spikes from early summer to fall. Blooming for weeks, the large flowers are extremely showy and add lovely vertical lines to the landscape. Loved by bees and hummingbirds, they are borne atop the attractive foliage clump of aromatic, ovate to lance-shaped dark green leaves. Perfect for use in the perennial border or in large patio containers.

  • Grows up to 30-32 in. tall (75-80 cm) and 20 in. wide (50 cm). The aromatic leaves exude a licorice scent when crushed.
  • Easily grown in full sun, in well-drained, fertile soils. Good drainage is particularly important. Although a drought-tolerant plant, it might need watering in extreme dry weather spells.
  • Provides a bold visual impact in beds and borders, cottage gardens, city gardens, butterfly gardens, or patio containers over a very long season.
  • Ideal to add color to the late-season garden when many other plants are fading.
  • Creates a stunning effect when mixed with other perennials or planted en masse.
  • Attracts streams of hummingbirds, butterflies, and other beneficial pollinators.
  • Generally disease and pest-free (might occasionally be subject to powdery mildew) and resistant to deer and rabbits.
  • Deadhead spent flowers to promote additional bloom.
  • Propagate by division in spring or by semi-ripe cuttings in early summer. Propagation for resale is prohibited without a license.
