Rosa Oregold (Hybrid Tea Rose)

Rose Oregold, Rosa Anneliese Rothenberger, Rosa Miss Harp, Rosa Silhouette, Rosa 'TANolg', Hybrid Tea Roses, Shrub Roses

Rosa Oregold is a mildly fragrant Hybrid Tea rose boasting large, perfectly high-centered, golden-yellow double flowers packed with 17-25 petals that do not fade. Blooming in flushes from spring to early fall, the glowing blossoms stand out against the lush foliage of deep green leaves. A tall, bushy shrub rose that is very disease resistant and perfect for beds, borders or as a flowering hedge. A great rose for cutting too.

  • All-America Rose Selection - the most prestigious rose award in the USA.
  • Grows up to 5-7 ft. tall (150-210 cm) and 3-4 ft. wide (90-120 cm).
  • An excellent choice for beds and borders, flowering hedges, or containers. Stunning when mass-planted. Excellent cut flowers.
  • Best grown in full sun, in rich, fertile with adequate moisture, well-drained soils.
  • Propagate by hardwood cuttings in autumn or by chip budding in summer.
  • Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that
  • Bred by Mathias Tantau, Jr. (1912 - 2006) (Germany, before 1970).
