Heuchera 'Sweet Tart' (Coral Bells)

Coral Bells 'Sweet Tart', Alum Root 'Sweet Tart', Little Cutie Series

A miniature variety of Coral Bells, Heuchera 'Sweet Tart' forms a tight mound of gently lobed, luminous, bright lime-green leaves. The wonderful foliage retains its showy color throughout the growing season. Blooming from spring to fall, panicles of small, bell-shaped, cerise and hot pink flowers bloom on slender stems rising just above the semi-evergreen foliage. 'Sweet Tart' is adaptable to a wide range of garden conditions, including heat, humidity or drought. Great for the garden and containers.

  • This clump-forming perennial forms basal mounds, up to 5 in. tall (12 cm) with a spread of 8 in. (20 cm). This sturdy performer is not only easy to grow, but also requires little maintenance and is pest and disease free!
  • Performs best in part shade, in rich, humusy, medium moisture, well-drained soils. Thrives in dry shade, once established.
  • It is attractive to butterflies and often ignored by deer.
  • A spectacular addition to beds, borders, rock gardens, woodland gardens or in containers. Fabulous when planted in groups!
  • Divide clumps in spring every 3-4 years.
  • Remove stems of faded flowers to promote additional bloom. Apply winter mulch after the ground freezes to help prevent root heaving.
