Strongly fragrant, Rosa ‘Queen o’ the Lakes’ is a hardy Hybrid Tea rose with large, 5 in. across (12 cm), double (26-40 petals), high-centered, velvety dark-red flowers. Free-flowering, the exquisite flowers are borne on long stems, making them perfect for cutting. The deep green, glossiness of the leaves is a perfect background for the large blossoms. Blooming in flushes from spring to fall, this bushy, upright shrub is ideal for sunny beds, borders or containers.
Rosa ‘Queen o’ the Lakes’ belongs to the Sub-Zero Series noted for its hardiness, disease resistance, beauty and vigor. In zones 5 and colder, this superb rose will however need some winter protection.
