Phlox paniculata ‘Red Riding Hood’ (Garden Phlox)

Very floriferous, Phlox paniculata ‘Red Riding Hood’ is a colorful perennial with vivid clusters of cherry-red flowers. Blooming for weeks from mid-summer to early fall, the sweetly fragrant flowers are rich in nectar and visited by hummingbirds and butterflies. They are borne atop stiff, upright stems, clad with oval green leaves. They make excellent fresh-cut flowers. This compact garden phlox deserves a place in the garden. Plant in drifts for great impact and make sure you have enough for the vase!
