Bred by David Austin,’Golden Celebration is one of the finest English Roses on the market with its very large, deeply cupped, fully petaled golden-yellow flowers (55-75 petals) atop a dark glossy green foliage. Exceptionally fragrant, this rose exudes an incredible perfume, a mix of tea rose and fruit aromas reminiscent of citrus, lychee, or strawberry!

  • Blooms in flushes from late spring until frost, this is an excellent repeat bloomer.
  • Grows up to 4.5 feet tall and across (135 cm) in a compact, rounded, slightly arching shrub. It is ideal as a short climber or for the back of the border and does wonders in brightening up a dull garden area! Spectacular when combined with the cool blue colors of salvia, nepeta, or lavender. Great for containers, it makes a lovely hedge too!
  • Plant it where you can enjoy its perfume daily: near a doorway, along a path, near your patio or deck. Excellent cut flowers.
  • Winner of the best shrub and most fragrant rose awards at the Rose Awards Day 2000, as well as the Award of Garden Merit of the Royal Horticultural Society in 2002
  • Best grown in full sun or partial shade in rich, fertile, with adequate moisture, well-drained soils.
  • While yellow roses are more prone to black spots, ‘Golden Celebration’ doesn’t seem affected by diseases.
  • David Austin’s English Roses combine Old Roses’ flower forms and perfume with the color range and repeat-flowering habits of modern roses. As a Rose breeder, David Austin’s achievement is marrying the romantic “English Rose” look with reliable garden performance, vigorous growth, full bushes, disease resistance, and prolific season-long bloom. Over 200 English Roses have been released since 1961, many receiving the highest rewards.

Learn How To Plant And Care for Your English Roses

Most people think of roses as finicky creatures, and many are. English Garden Roses, on the other hand, have the lush flowers and pleasing fragrance people love about roses, amply supplied on vigorous, lush, disease-resistant bushes that flower all season long.
