Rosa 'Mrs. F.W. Flight' (Climbing Rose)

Rosa 'Mrs. F.W. Flight' is a vigorous, almost thornless, climber with large clusters of lightly fragrant, semi-double (16-25 petals), deep pink flowers, 2 in. across (5 cm), adorned with white centers. Free-flowering, this climbing rose experiences an overwhelming flush of blooms in late spring or early summer. Its smooth stems are clothed with handsome, pointed, mid-green leaves. Perfect for training over arches, fences, or trellises in sun.

  • Grows up to 6-8 ft. tall (180-240 cm) and 3-4 ft. wide (90-120 cm).
  • Best grown in full sun, in humus-rich, fertile, moist, well-drained soils. For best flowering, apply a balanced fertilizer and mulch in late winter or early spring and a balanced fertilizer again in early summer.
  • Propagate by hardwood cuttings in autumn or by chip budding in summer
  • Bred by Cutbush in 1905.
