Recipient of multiple awards collected in the UK and worldwide, including the Henry Edland Medal in 2000 for the best-scented variety, English Rose Teasing Georgia is pleasantly fragrant and one of the most refined and robust golden roses. Replete with large, cup-shaped flowers (100 petals), it provides a delightful two-tone effect: a rich, golden-yellow center beautifully framed by pale yellow outer petals.

  • Bred by David Austin, ‘Teasing Georgia’ makes a striking statement in the garden and is an invaluable element of the mixed border. An excellent choice for beds, borders, or as a flowering hedge. Spectacular when combined with the cool blue colors of salvia, nepeta, or lavender.
  • Plant it where you can enjoy its perfume daily: near a doorway, along a path, near your patio or deck. Excellent cut flowers.
  • Reliable and easy to grow, this rose blooms in flushes from late spring until frost and is an excellent repeat bloomer with good resistance to diseases.
  • A strong but graceful grower, 4 ft tall and across (120 cm), it can be encouraged to climb up to 8 ft. (240 cm).
  • Best grown in full sun or partial shade in rich, fertile, with adequate moisture, well-drained soils.
  • Recipient of the prestigious Award of Garden Merit of the Royal Horticultural Society.
  • Introduced in 1998, this rose has been named for Mr. Ulrich Meyer, after his wife Georgia, who are well-known media personalities in Germany.
  • David Austin’s English Roses combine Old Roses’ flower forms and perfume with the color range and repeat-flowering habits of modern roses. As a Rose breeder, David Austin’s achievement is marrying the romantic “English Rose” look with reliable garden performance, vigorous growth, full bushes, disease resistance, and prolific season-long bloom. Over 200 English Roses have been released since 1961, many receiving the highest rewards.

Most people think of roses as finicky creatures, and many are. English Garden Roses, on the other hand, have the lush flowers and pleasing fragrance people love about roses, amply supplied on vigorous, lush, disease-resistant bushes that flower all season long.
