Lilium 'Lady Alice'

Lady Alice Lily, Lily 'Lady Alice', Trumpet/Aurelian Hybrid Group

Long-lived, Lilium 'Lady Alice' is a pretty hybrid of Lilium Henryi with pendulous flowers adorned with strongly reflexed, apricot-orange petals that fade to pure white towards their tips. They are gently covered with cinnamon speckles towards the throat. Blooming in mid-late summer, the graceful blossoms are borne on slender stems clad with long, narrow leaves. A strong grower, Lilium 'Lady Alice' is amazingly decorative and adds a touch of elegance to the border. This Lily is very lightly fragrant.

  • Growing up to 3-4 feet tall (90-120 cm), this Lily performs best in full sun or part shade and is not fussy about soils, provided they are rich in humus and well-drained. Good moisture is required and dry soils should be avoided.
  • Plant in spring or fall. Plant in groups of 3 bulbs at a minimum for a striking display! When flowering is over, cut back leaves and stems after they turn yellow.
  • Toxic to cats (though not for dogs or any known species)
