Plantain Lily 'Amazone', Amazone Hosta
Hosta ‘Amazone’ (Plantain Lily) is a medium-sized, clump-forming perennial forming a neat and compact mound of heart-shaped, creamy-white leaves, 6 in. long (15 cm), with dark green margins that flame inward, contrasting boldly with the bright white center. Racemes of pale lavender flowers appear above the foliage in mid to late summer. This variegated plantain lily is reportedly more sun tolerant than other white-centered hosta varieties. It is an ideal foliage plant for growing in a patio container or the perennial border.
