Plantain Lily 'Ben Vernooij', Ben Vernooij Hosta
Hosta ‘Ben Vernooij’ (Plantain Lily) is a medium-sized, clump-forming perennial forming a compact mound of thick, heart-shaped, blue leaves with a wide, feathery creamy-yellow margin. Racemes of large lavender flowers appear above the foliage during the summer. Good resistance to slugs thanks to the heavy substance of the leaves. This sport of award-winning Hosta ‘First Frost’ looks great throughout the entire growing season. It is an ideal foliage plant for growing in a patio container or the perennial border.
