Plantain Lily 'Neptune', Neptune Hosta
Prized for its blue color, Hosta ‘Neptune’ (Plantain Lily) is a clump-forming perennial forming an attractive cascading mound of narrowly wedge-shaped, bright glaucous blue leaves. As the season progresses, the foliage turns more blue-green. Bell-shaped, pale lavender flowers appear on tall, arching scapes reaching 32-39 in. (80-98 cm) in late summer to early fall. The heavily rippled leaves are of good substance, displaying some slug resistance. Moderately fast-growing, this blue hosta cultivar makes a beautiful specimen in the home garden.
