Plantain Lily 'Prairie Sky', Prairie Sky Hosta
The wonderful leaf color of Hosta ‘Prairie Sky’ (Plantain Lily) makes it a very worthwhile garden plant. It forms a compact mound of thick, broadly ovate, heart-shaped, slightly cupped, powdery blue leaves. Bell-shaped, pale lavender blooms appear in mid to late summer, rising on blue scapes 24 in. long (60 cm), but the primary contribution of this hosta is its lovely foliage. This cultivar retains its extraordinary blue leaf color all season long. Moderately vigorous, this hosta is considered one of the best blue hostas yet introduced.
