Salvia splendens 'Saucy Wine' is a vigorous, tender perennial grown for its lush burgundy-red flower spikes. Blooming continuously from mid-spring to fall, they rise above a lush green foliage. Sterile and self-cleaning, there is no need to deadhead this plant. Hummingbirds and butterflies love its brilliant blossoms, but deer do not! Evergreen in warm winter areas.

  • Grows with a tidy habit up to 2-3 ft. tall and wide (60-90 cm).
  • Thrives in full sun to part shade in light, humus-rich, moderately fertile, moist, well-drained soils.
