Cliff Stonecrop, Cliff Dwelling Stonecrop, Hylotelephium cauticola
Sedum cauticola (Cliff Stonecrop) is a low growing, carpet-forming, succulent perennial with trailing stems bearing rounded, pink-tinged gray-green leaves. In early fall, clusters of pale purplish-pink, star-shaped flowers look handsome against the gray foliage. Native to Japan, Sedum cauticola spreads by underground stolons, slowly forming spreading mats. It is the perfect sedum to tuck into a rockery or other small spaces in the garden. It is also wonderful in containers where the foliage and flowers can be enjoyed throughout the season.
