Sarcococca (Sweet Box)

Sarcococca (Sweet Box) are compact evergreen shrubs with a lush, glossy foliage year round and powerfully scented, creamy-white flowers in winter or spring. The blossoms are followed by red, purple or black berries which may persist into the following winter. Tolerant of dry shade and neglect, Sweet Boxes are easy to grow and pest-free. Some can be upright shrubs up to 5 ft. tall (150 cm), or ground-hugging groundcovers. They are all perfect for shady garden spots where other plants would struggle.
