Ophiopogon (Mondo Grass)
Ophiopogon ( Mondo Grass) are rhizomatous or tufted evergreen perennials forming lush foliage clumps of narrowly strap-shaped leaves. In summer, they boast racemes of small bell-shaped white or mauve flowers, which are followed by shiny, metallic blue berries. Both useful and ornamental, Ophiopogon is an excellent edging plant and ground cover that tolerates full sun but prefers areas of moist soils and partial shade. Particularly attractive when planted in large sweeps.
