Perovskia (Russian Sage)
Neither Russian nor sage, Perovskia (Russian Sage) is native to southwestern and central Asia. This perennial plant is admired for its aromatic gray-green foliage, its lovely silver stems and its tall, long-blooming lavender-blue flower spikes, which add a cool, airy cloud of color to the garden in summer. It even remains attractive in winter with its white stems standing out and making a striking feature. Easy to grow, Russian sages adapt to a wide range of climates as long as they get plenty of sun and good drainage. And they have a fabulous way of looking good with pretty much any flowering partner.
