They boast simple, alternate leaves and pendulous clusters of fragrant, bell-shaped, white flowers in spring or summer. Usually pest and disease free, Styrax can be grown as a specimen and in a woodland garden. Their relatively compact habit make them also well suited for patios and small gardens.
