Tradescantia - Spiderworts

Extremely easy to grow and care for, Tradescantia (Spiderwort) are trailing or tufted perennials with fleshy, evergreen foliage and three-petaled flowers in shades of blue to purple, pink, white or red. The blossoms only remain open for a day, but the profuse flowers will continually bloom for up to 4-6 weeks in summer. Popular in pots or hanging baskets, Spiderwort can also be used as ground covers, in borders, edging, woodland gardens or as indoor plants. Quite resilient and virtually indestructible, deer resistant, adaptable and long blooming, some Tradescantia varieties are among the most delightful subjects.
