Noted for its beautiful blue foliage, Sedum ‘Blue Elf’ (Stonecrop) is a mat-forming perennial with an abundance of succulent-like, rounded, steel blue leaves. Very dense and well-branched, this sedum selection does not split open in summer and creates a colorful, weed-suppressing ground cover when planted en masse. Sitting atop short, upright stems, clusters of fragrant dark pink flowers appear in late summer to early fall. A great variety for rockeries, gravel gardens and containers. Drought tolerant, ‘Blue Elf’ is evergreen in mild climates.

  • Grows up to 3 in. tall (7 cm) and 15 in. wide (37 cm).
  • Best grown in full sun, in dry to medium moisture, well-drained soils.
  • Perfect for rock gardens, containers, as a groundcover or edging plant.
  • Virtually disease and pest free. Rabbit and deer resistant.
  • Low maintenance, this Sedum forgives neglect!
  • Propagate by division or by softwood cuttings of non-flowering shoots in early summer
