Meconopsis - Himalayan Poppies

Spectacular in the shade garden, Meconopsis can be annuals, biennials, evergreen or herbaceous perennials. Often short-lived, their alluring and beautiful silky flowers attract ardent collectors and gardeners. The foliage of many species is also attractive, forming bold rosettes covered with silver or gold hairs. Difficult to grow outside of their native climates, they require moist, but not wet, conditions and temperate temperatures to thrive.
