Daylily 'Happy Returns', Day Lily 'Happy Returns', 'Happy Returns' Daylily, Very Early Daylilies
Among the most popular reblooming Daylilies, award-winning Hemerocallis ‘Happy Returns’ is a charming favorite! Why? It is compact, fragrant, and enjoys profuse blooms over an extremely long blooming period. This Daylily produces canary yellow rounded blossoms, slightly crimped, atop mounds of arching, blade-like leaves. Each flower, up to 3 in. wide (7 cm), lasts at least 16 hrs (extended blooms). Still, no more than 24 hours (thus the common name ‘Daylily’), opening up in the morning and withering during the forthcoming night, possibly replaced by another one on the same scape (flower stalk) the next day. This very early season diploid Daylily is dormant (deciduous).
