Princess Tutu Hemerocallis, Daylily 'Princess Tutu', Day Lily 'Princess Tutu', Princess Tutu Daylily, Midseason Daylilies, Reblooming Daylilies
Very floriferous, Hemerocallis ‘Princess Tutu’ (Reblooming Daylily) is a compact perennial boasting a profusion of large, bright pink flowers, 6 in. across (15 cm), adorned with a darker pink eye and gold ruffled edges. Blooming in mid-summer, and again later in the season, the attractive blossoms are held neatly above its compact mound of arching, linear leaves. Each flower typically lasts no more than 24 hours (thus the common name ‘Daylily’), opening up in the morning and withering during the forthcoming night, possibly replaced by another one on the same scape (flower stalk) the next day. One plant can bear over 300 flowers after three years. This reblooming midseason tetraploid daylily is dormant (deciduous). Excellent for perennial gardens and containers.
