Fragaria - Strawberries

Fragaria (Strawberries) are stoloniferous perennials forming small mounds of pleated and serrated, fresh green foliage, with rounded white or pink flowers followed by edible red berries. Some produce one crop of large fruits around the month of June (Junebearing Strawberries), others produce a first crop in spring and another one in late summer or fall. Under ideal conditions, they may even produce three berry harvests (Everbearing Strawberries). Easy to grow, Fragaria are also attractive landscape plants of quiet beauty to be used as groundcovers or delineate a border.
