Corky Hemerocallis, Daylily 'Corky', Day Lily 'Corky', Corky Daylily, Midseason Daylilies
Refined and dainty, Hemerocallis ‘Corky’ (Daylily) is a compact perennial boasting a profusion of trumpet-shaped, bright golden-yellow miniature flowers, 2.5 in. across (6 cm), adorned with bronze reverse. Blooming in mid-summer, the attractive blossoms are held atop mahogany stalks above a compact mound of arching, grassy leaves. Each flower typically lasts no more than 24 hours (thus the common name ‘Daylily’), opening up in the morning and withering during the forthcoming night, possibly replaced by another one on the same scape (flower stalk) the next day. This midseason diploid daylily is dormant (deciduous). Excellent for mass plantings, erosion control, or perennial borders where this charming daylily brings elegance.
