Hemerocallis ‘South Seas’ (Reblooming Daylily)

Floriferous, Hemerocallis ‘South Seas’ (Reblooming Daylily) is a compact perennial boasting a profusion of large, fragrant, tangerine coral flowers, 5.5 in. across (14 cm), adorned with a red coral band above a yellow-green throat. Blooming in mid-summer, and again later in the season, the attractive blossoms are held neatly above its compact mound of arching, linear leaves. Each plant bears up to 30-35 flower buds. Each flower lasts at least 16 hrs (extended blooms) but no more than 24 hours (thus the common name ‘Daylily’). Night-blooming, this daylily opens late in the afternoon and stays open throughout the evening until the morning. If you spend time in the garden late in the day, this Hemerocallis is the perfect daylily for you. This reblooming midseason tetraploid daylily is dormant (deciduous). Excellent for perennial gardens and containers.

• Grows up to 30 in. tall (75 cm) and 18-24 in. wide (45-60 cm).
